Edina's Story: Big Build Families

Big Build 2019 is underway. In 1 week, the team will build 10 homes beside local families, supporting Orphaned and Vulnerable children in the community. This is Edina, one of the beneficiaries, read her story below.

Edina is a widow who looks after her five grandchildren.

Three of the children are HIV positive and the old house they are staying in is not safe for them to live in.

Their current house that is small and cramped, with a roof that leaks a lot. They are also forced to use an old, un-ventilated and dilapidated pit latrine. This means that the family are frequently ill. 

As part of Big Build 2019, Edina will work alongside volunteers from across Ireland to build a safe & secure place, that she can call home.
