Leaving a gift in your will to Habitat Ireland will help us plan and deliver in the long term - together we can give a hand up to the world's poorest communities to help them help themselves out of poverty housing.
A gift no matter how big or small can make a difference. Become a super supporter by leaving a gift in your will to Habitat. Imagine how good it'll feel to know you will be helping create a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Making a better, brighter future for the communities we support throughout the world.
When you come to make a will, you may find that it's easier than you think. We would recommend that you see a solicitor who specialises in will making. If you would like to remember the work of Habitat Ireland in your will, just let your solicitor know.
Your solicitor will know the words to use, but here's a suggestion:
"I bequeath to Habitat for Humanity Ireland (Registered Charity Number NI: NIC103240 ROI: 20051785) <insert gift type - see examples below>, to be applied for the general purpose of the charity shall at its absolute discretion decide, and I declare that the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or Company Secretary shall be sufficient discharge to my Executors."
Choose one of the gift type examples:
1. All residues of my estate
2. One ______ share (or 1%) of the residue of my estate
3. The sum of £/€_________
4. Specific items ________________________________.
Super. If you already have a will and want to leave a gift to Habitat all you have to do is make a codicil or an 'amendment'.So speak to your solicitor about making a codicil to your existing will, and they'll take it from there.
