Cambodia is home to 15 million people; more than a quarter live below the poverty line. The country is emerging from decades of conflict and inequalities still persist. Too many families live in poorly built homes without access to secure tenure or basic facilities, such as proper toilets and clean water.
Since 2003, Habitat Cambodia has been working to develop sustainable communities, serving more than 90,000 people. Funds raised in Ireland support Habitat Cambodia’s home repair and water and sanitation work in rural areas, impacting the most vulnerable communities.
Join with volunteers from across Ireland in Cambodia from 13th - 21st September 2025. The team will travel and work alongside the local community. Participants will also have a chance to visit and understand more about Habitat’s work in Cambodia. Volunteers will:
SEE the reality of housing poverty and learn more about Habitat’s impact
SERVE families and communities in need
SPEAK out for the cause of safe, decent housing when they return home

Sign Up NowHabitat co-ordinates everything for a safe and rewarding experience. You don’t need specific skills to take part. Participants will be expected to attend team meetings (in person or online), raise or contribute funds within an agreed timeline and follow all Habitat’s policies and procedures.
The team will travel to Cambodia from 13th - 21st September 2025. This will include at least five days in the community Habitat works. Participants will be serving alongside the community and local volunteers but also have the opportunity learn about the impact of Habitats work.
Dates may vary by 1-2 days depending on flight options.
The budget to take part is £2,850/€3,350p/p (this includes a non-refundable deposit, flights, in-country expenses and a minimum £850/€1,000 donation towards Habitat’s work). Of the £2,850/€3,350pp volunteers make a minimum personal contribution of £/€500 towards logistics costs. If you are unable to make this contribution, get in touch.
There are lots of ideas and resources to support fundraising. Volunteers must be clear about what the funds raised will support.
