Give thanks for the global impact of Habitat's mission in communities in more than 70 countries. As we work towards a world where everyone has a safe place to live; pray for the 1.8 billion whose homes aren't safe. Pray that Habitat would continue to bring light into the darkness of poverty housing. Pray for all who build, renovate, repair homes; programmes which provide access to water and sanitation facilities and those who advocate and inspire action to accelerate and broaden access to affordable housing for all.
Pray that Habitat's mission - seeking to put God's love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope would continue to call people to action in Ireland. Give thanks for Habitat ReStores, directly tackling poverty by providing access to low-cost home improvement materials, supporting local people to learn skills for employment and diverting tonnes of material from landfill helping build a more sustainable future. Pray God's blessing on the House to Home programme; building the capacity and confidence of vulnerable people and transforming the place they call home.
Please remember all those affected by natural disasters or conflict around the world, especially those forced to flee their homes. Pray for people everywhere who are in any kind of danger or need. Pray that we would be the answer to our prayers; as we open ourselves to be the hands and feet of Jesus in today's world. Give thanks for Habitat's disaster response teams, for opportunities to help communities to prepare for disaster and for the building of disaster resilient homes. Pray for all those agencies who respond when disaster strikes and for individuals, churches and organisations whose generosity enables their response.
