A Tinsel Tea Party and Turkey Trot is coming to town, in support of Habitat NI and Anahilt Presbyterian Regeneration Fund. The annual events, organised by Anahilt Presbyterian Church are open to everyone, young and old, with lots of festive treats on offer and a special visit from Santa Claus!
The taste-bud tingling Tea Party will commence at 1.30pm on Saturday 23rd November and run until 4.30pm at Hillsborough Courthouse. Everyone is welcome to drop in at any time during the afternoon, with lots of tea, treats and good festive fun guaranteed!
Admission is just £5 for adults and £2.50 for children under 12 years, with all proceeds being split equally between the work of Habitat NI and Anahilt Presbyterian Regeneration Fund.
The Turkey Trot will take place in Hillsborough Forest Park on Saturday 7th December, with all participants asked to meet in the car park at 10am. There is a “trot” to suit everyone, including a 1 mile “Lake Walk”, a 2 mile “Fox Trail” or for those wanting more of a challenge, there is the 3 mile option which combines both routes!
Participants aged 18 and above are asked to contribute £5 per person on the day, and also raise some sponsorship in support of their efforts. Why not jog or run the route, or increase your sponsorship by taking part in a Christmas themed fancy dress? You can then relax and celebrate with refreshments served from 12 noon at Anahilt Presbyterian Church hall.
Karen Dunlop, Church Engagement Officer for Habitat NI said, “We are delighted to have the support of Anahilt Presbyterian Church through these great events which are perfect for all the family. Both the Tinsel Tea Party and Turkey Trot promise to get everyone into the festive spirit while also benefitting the great work of Habitat NI. We would encourage everyone to pick up a cuppa or don their Christmas jumper and enjoy a leisurely walk or run and help raise much needed funds for Habitat’s work with families living in poverty housing.”
