Habitat for Humanity International, HFHI, is seeking a humanitarian professional to fill the critical role of Associate Director - Operations & Strategy (Central and Eastern Europe / Commonwealth of Independent States), initially focusing on the Ukraine crisis response. Reporting to CEE/CIS Director, this position is responsible for developing and implementing regional programmatic approaches and methodologies that support CEE Strategy and change management processes.
The Associate Director works with a variety of departments across the area office and HQ departments, especially with HQ programs division and acts as a point person in coordinating programmatic responses with the area office and national organizations in the regions. This position is responsible for leading change management plans and activities for changes. This position has direct line reports within the CEE/CIS program department (MEAL Specialist, Strategy priority area leads) and matrix oversight of Program Directors in the CEE national organizations. The position is a primary focal point to CEE/CIS national organizations supported by the area office, and works closely with their peers holding the same position in the other area offices globally.
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Associate Director - Ukraine Regional Response Lead. This individual is responsible for the high level coordination and support of the Habitat for Humanity national organizations in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in their efforts to respond to the Ukraine refugee crisis. Additionally, this individual will provide representation in inter-agency coordination and will secure long-term response funding.
This is a 2-year position that will be based in Bratislava, Slovakia or Warsaw, Poland.
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Ukraine Crisis Communications Manager. The Ukraine Crisis Communications Manager ensures that communications about Habitat for Humanity’s response to the Ukraine crisis reflects the organization’s response strategy, helps generate support for that response and increases awareness of Habitat’s disaster and emergency response work.
The Communications Manager does so by coordinating closely with both Habitat organizations responding to the crisis as well as those Habitat organizations raising support for the response. The Communications Manager maintains clear communications goals related to the crisis, promotes a compelling narrative around Habitat’s response across geographies, and coordinates with communications staff across the Habitat network to help tell the story of Habitat’s response in keeping with the organization’s communications standards and brand. This person works closely with the leadership of Habitat’s Ukraine response as well as colleagues in the larger Global Communications department.
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented specialist for the role of a Business Development - Institutional Partnership Specialist (Ukraine Response). Reporting to the Vice President - Global Foundations, Organization and Institutional Relations (GFOI), this position is responsible for leading and coordinating HFHI’s Ukraine response program’s fundraising efforts from professional foundations and institutional donors. This work will align with the GFOI processes. This specialist will have the skillset and capacity to adapt to the fast-changing humanitarian response environment and have a high-level understanding of institutional donors. Equally, they will build partnerships with peer organizations and be pro-active in pre-positioning with institutional partners in presenting HFH’s programs for the Ukraine response. The candidate will have strong internal collaboration skills and is experienced in leading proposal development. This specialist will have an intern to support the work and coordinate with the GFOI team, HFH’s national offices and HFHI’s humanitarian /development technical experts.
Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented professional for the role of a Regional Senior MEAL Specialist for Europe/Middle East, initially focusing on the Ukraine crisis response. The Regional Senior MEAL Specialist reports to the Associate Director, Operations and Strategy for Central and Eastern Europe/ Commonwealth of Independent States (CEE/CIS). The Senior MEAL Specialist will adapt and implement monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL) guidelines and tools throughout the operations in CEE/CIS and provides support with organizational MEAL and related standards.
The purpose of the position is to support the improvement of program and project efficiency and effectiveness, decision making and learning during the project life cycle through MEAL. This position will be based in Bratislava, Slovakia or Warsaw, Poland, involves up to 30% travel and is anticipated to last for two years. First priority will be given to candidates who are already eligible to work anywhere within the EU.
