Habitat for Humanity Ireland is working alongside the Probation Board for Northern Ireland in a partnership which will help make communities in Northern Ireland safer.

Habitat Ireland has received funding from the Probation Board to assist it in delivering community service placements in their social enterprise, Habitat ReStore.

Chief Executive of the Probation Board for Northern Ireland Amanda Stewart said:

“PBNI works in partnership with a range of organisations across the community and voluntary sector and we are delighted to be in partnership with Habitat Ireland in order to assist us to reduce reoffending.

PBNI is committed to working in every community in Northern Ireland. We are also committed to working in partnership. Indeed we believe that in order to rehabilitate and resettle those who have offended we must work collaboratively. This partnership will help us carry out our role of changing lives for safer communities.”

Jenny Williams, Chief Executive of Habitat Ireland has welcomed the funding provided by the Probation Board for Northern Ireland and said:

“We welcome this partnership with PBNI which is an organisation with its roots in every community in Northern Ireland. Through this partnership we will be doing our part with PBNI in changing lives for safer communities aim and we look forward to working together with probation into the future.”
